Computers May Not Update Properly for DST

3/11/2007:
Prepare your computer for Daylight Saving Time
Daylight Saving Time is here, and you'll have more than just change your clocks. As a result of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the time change is three weeks earlier than usual, and experts say your computer probably isn't prepared. If you don't update it, any schedules, planners, and messaging systems will be affected.
Experts say do it now, or you'll have the same problem again in the fall.
"You won't know that you have a problem in October, so the time will change, and it will change sooner than it should, and your schedule will be off. Your calendar will be off, and your events will be off," Rescuecom Marketing Director Eric Fontaine said.
Fontaine said your cell phones will also be affected by the time change, and your best bet is to bring it to your provider.
