Smartphone data recovery can be costly, but it can be avoided by following some simple tech support tips.

Many of us rely on mobile devices such as the iPhone and the BlackBerry.  Yet, despite everything we do with these phones, one thing we don’t always do is take precautions to preserve our data.

So what can you do to avoid needing data recovery for your smartphone?

• Download with Caution: Apps are one reason for the popularity of smartphones. While most apps are harmless, they’re still programs for your phone. As such, they can cause conflicts and potentially damage your phone or data. Always take the time to fully investigate an app to ensure that it’s both legitimate and not likely to cause conflicts. There’s no reason a game or wallpaper app should cause you to need tech support and data recovery.
