Elixr Helps People Discover New Drinks and the Best Places to Get Them
Part of the reason that people go to specific bars, restaurants and clubs are the unique drinks that those establishments offer to guests. Now, there’s a cool product in technology called Elixr that is helping people discover new and interesting drinks at locations all over the country. Elixr is a social media application available for Android and Apple smartphones that allows people to share the drinks they try at different locations with all their friends online. People use the app by taking pictures of the drink they’ve ordered and then labeling the drink with its name and the specific bar or restaurant that served it. Users can then post the drink to their Elixr profiles. Once someone posts a drink, he or she can rate the drink by “liking” it or labeling it as a “favorite”. People can also comment on drinks and have long discussions about them with their friends in order to get a group consensus on its quality.
