Zipments Improves the Delivery Process

photo zipments-improves-the-delivery-process.pngEnabling customers to order a product online and then pick it up at your door the very same day is a major goal for online retailers.  While some companies used technology to offer this in the past, they unfortunately did not last, but companies offering similar services are once again emerging.  One such company is Zipments, and its mobile app is a service that seeks to give retailers a unique edge, particularly in large cities.  Offering same-day delivery is one of the only advantages that so-called brick and mortar shops have over large online retailers like Amazon, and it is something many customers desire.  The courier industry is one that is rate quickly, and companies trying to survive with outdated technology and customer service tools may not be able to last. Locally Offers Local Delivery on Demand

photo locally-offers-local-delivery-on-demand.pngThere is an ever-increasing push for consumers to support local businesses, culminating in the “Choose Local” movement and the growing popularity of Small Business Saturday.  Technology has done well to keep up in two major ways.  Firstly, the ability to maintain an online presence and allow customers to support local companies on the Internet is becoming much easier and less costly.  Secondly, apps working with local businesses to offer customers delivery as a secondhand partner of sorts are quickly increasing in number.  WeDeliver is one such app that has extended its services.  Formerly, it allowed users to pay a little extra to let someone deliver what they wanted to them from local stores.  The app helped local vendors compete with retail giants by allowing for same-day delivery.  With the Launch of Locally, WeDeliver now offers the same service while allowing any store using it to offer its customers a full online marketplace as well.  The major difference between this app and others, though, is that while most target customers, Locally is specifically for the businesses themselves. Everett Steele Has Been Crowdsourcing Delivery with Kanga

Shipping costs can be problematic for many individuals and small businesses. Transporting very large items can even be cost prohibitive in some cases.  However, cool person in technology Everett Steele has founded Kanga in order to make delivering items less costly.  To accomplish this task, Steele has started using a model that has seen great success in other areas of the tech industry—crowdsourcing.  Companies like AirBnB and Uber have shown that having customers provide services to each other can actually be a viable business model if a company facilitates the exchange properly.  Kanga uses crowdsourcing by allowing people to request delivery services from anyone who has access to the proper transportation.  Once users find others able and willing to transport what they need moved, they can book the drivers to make deliveries through Kanga. Drivers on Kanga can charge less than large shipping companies, making the process far easier on people’s wallets.  Steele’s company takes a small cut of each payment for making each delivery possible.  Anyone who has technical difficulty while trying to schedule deliveries through Kanga should contact a computer support service for immediate assistance.
