Ivytalk Helps You Reach Anyone at Any Time

photo ivytalk-helps-you-reach-anyone-at-any-time.pngThere are now more ways than ever before to stay in touch such as email, text messaging, video chat, social media, and many more.  However, despite this extensive list of ways to communicate with others, it can seem more difficult than ever to actually connect with the person you are trying to reach.  Ivytalk aims to solve the problems with communication gaps caused by any number of reasons, from people changing their cell phone numbers or email addresses without warning to fewer people using landlines by the day.  Some people rarely check their email because they prefer to communicate via Facebook almost exclusively.  Still others let each call go to voicemail because they would rather text. For any emergency notification system to be truly effective, people would require a service covering a wide variety of different devices and platforms, and that is exactly what Ivytalk does. photo unified-inbox-modernizes-communications.jpgDespite the continuously growing importance of online communication, many people find themselves forced to deal with a mass of unread emails at work.  It is a well-known fact that professionals in certain businesses, executives in particular, may spend the vast majority of their time communicating with others.  Being able to stay on top of correspondences, both internally and externally, has never been more important.  Unified Inbox is a cloud-based communications solution that works to fix this problem by allowing you to receive all of your incoming communications in a single inbox on any device, and send and answer messages using the best channels for your contacts.  This includes any social networks, SMS, email, voicemail, IM, postal, and more.  Not only that, but Unified Inbox uses “LifeModes,” which apply any information users send according to the mode of life that a recipient is currently in, such as “work,” “relax,” or “holiday.” Read more »

Squarehub Connects Your Family Online

photo squarehub-connects-your-family-online.png
For all of the social media that we engage in daily, there is very little that tailors directly to families while allowing the privacy we need in a potentially dangerous online environment.  Along with the dangers that can come with browsing the Internet, it can be challenging to keep family coordinated and emotionally connected.  Squarehub is an app that, in its developers’ words, is the private social network designed exclusively for your family. The development of technology brings with it unique new problems as well as solutions, and Squarehub looks to solve these problems.  While social media offers us myriad new ways to branch out and connect to people we may not otherwise meet, the lack of privacy can become increasingly worrisome. It can also be difficult and complicated to gather family information through multiple emails, text messages, and social media accounts.  Meanwhile, teenagers desire more freedom while parents are concerned about their safety, and they do not always understand online etiquette.  Along with all these things, communication between family members can significantly diminish between all of the online chatter and busyness.  Squarehub offers an innovative solution to deal with all these dilemmas. Gibberin Optimizes Spoken Messaging

photo gibberin-optimizes-spoken-messaging.png
While one of the most applied uses of technology involves how we communicate, we can still make many more applications to increase the overall efficiency of its application.  Gibberin’s designers created it based on the principle that communicating vocally is faster, easier and more accurate than using the text-based services that are so common.  They believe, in their words, that it is time to shift away from existing text based messaging back to our natural form of communication, our voice.  Gibberin delivers your message in its original spoken form without involving the process of transcribing text.  Recipients of your messages hear the emotion, inflection, pace and other natural queues that are important to meaningful communication and do not carry over in text. Brandon Rodman Founded Weave to Help Dentists Communicate with Patients

Any medical professional who runs a private practice knows that communicating with patients can sometimes be a major problem.  Patients miss appointments and don’t reschedule accordingly, causing havoc for a practice’s calendar.  Cool person in technology Brandon Rodman is the CEO of a company that’s coming up with a better system to communicate with patients for one type of medical professional: dentists.  Rodman’s company Weave provides communication technology and software to dental care offices with their specific needs in mind.  Rodman designed his company’s software to address specific issues related to dental care practices and their patients.  Rodman’s software connects telephone communication, text communications and scheduling all together for one seamless experience.  Normally, dental practice office workers would have to make calls and work with scheduling and customer directory software separately. Weave combines these systems to reduce hold time for patients over the phone and streamline the process for office workers to avoid careless mistakes.  Any office interested in Weave may be better off having strong business computer services available to them to help with the transition to Rodman’s software. Cluster CEO Brendan Mulligan Gives People Private Digital Spaces for Friends

Social networks were once online spaces that people used to communicate only with their friends and others in their immediate social circle.  That is no longer the case as companies like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr have all made social networks completely open and public.  Now, when a user shares an update, link, or set of pictures on any of these sites, they are sharing it with the world, not just their friends.  People still want private online spaces to communicate only with their close friends.  Cool person in technology Brendan Mulligan has responded to this demand with his mobile app Cluster.  Cluster allows users to create digital spaces that are invite-only.  People create a Cluster space on their smartphone and then invite all the specific friends and family they want to have access to that space.  Each invitee receives a notification on his or her phone to join the new Cluster group.  In these private spaces, users can share pictures, links, media and other information that they want to share but would not be comfortable doing so on publicly open sites such as Facebook.  Anyone who has trouble inviting people to their spaces via Cluster should find a source of mobile tech support. Oisin Hurley Helps Brands to Communicate with Customers as CTO of Converser

Customers are the most important aspect of any business that revolves around a product or service.  Companies must be on the pulse of customers’ needs and desires at all times if they want their product to thrive in the marketplace.   However, it’s hard for a business to be customer centric if it does not communicate with its clientele efficiently.  Converser CTO and cool person in technology Oisin Hurley wants to help mobile app developers connect and engage with their user base.  Hurley has developed messaging and communication technology that is installable in any mobile application.  This two-way messaging system gives app users a direct connection to the developers so the users can voice opinions, make suggestions and get problems addressed.  Just as many remote tech support computers connect directly to their customers’ computers to provide service, Converser allows mobile app companies to connect directly to the people using their product.  Hurley’s company also keeps app users engaged with actionable in-app messages that prompt users to try new features or functionality.  With Converser, Hurley helps both app users and app developers stay informed.
