Shure’s MV5 Balances Quality and Price for Home Recording

Shure is not exactly a household name, but it is certainly one with which anyone who records music is somewhat familiar. Founded in 1925, it was one of the earliest radio parts wholesale companies to exist today. In that time, it has become a global leader in audio electronics. Its specialty is designing mics for music, so it should come as no surprise, given their ability to adapt to technology from the early 20th century into this one, that they have developed microphone technology for current tech. Shure has realized this no more evidently than with the MV5 iOS digital condenser microphone, one of the most innovative recording devices on the market. It has USB connectivity, ideal for recording vocals, acoustic instruments, and podcasts, but it is obviously also suitable for anything that can make use of a USB microphone. The unit itself has a headphone jack built-in, volume control and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) options as well. Read more »

Bose Creates a Great Audio Experience with its Wave SoundTouch Music System IV

Bose has long been the best-known name in consumer electronics, particularly high-end speakers. It has topped the market and made a name for itself in audio systems for decades, though many tech companies are now edging into the market in the hopes of taking it over. That does not mean that Bose has lost its edge, however, and that is no more evident than it is with its new Wave SoundTouch Music System IV. This stereo shelf system combines the latest technology with some more nostalgic elements to give everyone something to love while maintaining the standard of excellent sound quality for which Bose has always been so popular. The company released the first iteration of its Wave SoundTouch Music System line in 2004 and has since improved on every aspect, added more advanced features as they have developed, and even managed to lower the price along the way. Jabra’s Elite Sport Upgraded are a Revolution in Wireless

Bluetooth earbuds have been understandably popular for some years now, but it was not until recent years that companies finally achieved the push for wireless with headphones and especially earbuds. Since they did emerge, there are now dozens of truly wireless earbuds, with no cord connecting the left and right together, on the market. While not the first available commercially, the Apple AirPods were the first to really bring wireless earbuds into the public eye. Unfortunately, they were not good for sporting due to a lack of water and sweat resistance, nor do they stay in your ears with excessive movement, so a large part of those who would find them beneficial do not find them useful. In 2017, Jabra released the Elite Sport earbuds to deal with this issue, designing them with athletes in mind, and they have reinvented them with the Elite Sport Upgraded. Read more »

The Glass Sound Speaker is Tops among Bluetooth Speakers for Design

Bluetooth speakers are a major convenience for listening to anything you want anywhere you are in your home or even at work with the greatest convenience. They are not typically a decor piece, however, and very few look particularly unique in comparison to others. There are some Bluetooth speakers designed to offer a distinctive look or even equipped with lights, but there is still no mistaking them for anything but what they are. This has been true up to now, that is, thanks to Sony’s LSPX-S1 Glass Sound speaker, a Bluetooth-enabled speaker that provides all the same features it should but with a much more artistic flair. It is candle-like in appearance, with LED lights that gleam like a refracted candle flame inside a glass flute-like structure. Read more »

AUKEY Makes a Better Bluetooth Audio Transmitter

There are many different ways people can make use of tech to listen to music in their cars. Newer models have built-in Bluetooth, the auxiliary cable can be a reliable choice, and people can still use CD players in some older models. There are some who still drive cars old enough to play cassette tapes. Whatever the case, there are clear drawbacks to each of these methods and situations in which they would not be usable. People driving older cars may need to retrofits their stereos with Bluetooth, and that would include a cost some would not find it worthwhile to pay. Many people would like to upgrade their audio experience while driving but do not want to pay for higher end Bluetooth audio adapters and find ones in their price range to either break down easily or offer low overall audio quality. Fortunately, there is one device on the tech market that solves all of these issues: the AUKEY Bluetooth audio transmitter. Read more »

Create Labels that Talk with Soundpaper

photo create-labels-that-talk-with-soundpaper.pngUntil recently, a product’s barcode was generally only used to find the price of an item.  With the innovation of the QR code, people were able to gain more information about an item, get direction to a website on their smartphones, and a few more helpful things.  Soundpaper takes this concept to a new level, enabling you to add sound to your product barcodes utilizing patented technology developed by Labels That Talk.  The app’s developers tout it as the world’s most advanced two-dimensional barcode.  It is not limited to companies selling a product; talking labels can transform everyday objects by adding information that a mere printed label can never convey.  Possibilities include adding audio to photos, prescription bottles, books, and anything else you can imagine would benefit from sound.
