That’s why he gives users the option to add things like hotel pick-up to their bookings. Mathis aims for his customers to be in complete control of their trip before they even leave their homes. Mathis’s company provides customers a way to plan their trip out ahead of time, so as not to worry about availability or scheduling once they are already on vacation. Mathis himself has backgrounds in both business and technology. He received his education at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich in Switzerland. He earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the school in 2007. However, after graduating, Mathis ran a business services company called ETH Juniors that provided more than just technical services. He eventually left that company to become a product manager at Siemens Mobility. He originally founded GetYourGuide while still working at Siemens. He broke off and decided to make GetYourGuide an international company and run it full time as COO in 2009. Mathis’s combined expertise in business and technology, as well as his international background, serve him well as he leads his company forward.
