As a Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kansas and a former editor of the University Of Michigan School Of Law’s Journal of International Law, Snapp had an impressive education. With an additional master’s degree from Wayne State University, this master’s in Business Administration, Snapp had a formidable combination of both business and law knowledge. Mary E. Snapp joined Microsoft after a stint at K&L Gates, a law firm based in Seattle.
When Mary E. Snapp joined Microsoft in 1988, she was hired as an attorney for their massive legal department. Snapp quickly distinguished herself with her knowledge of business law and her ability to protect some of Microsoft’s most valuable licenses.
When not ensuring that Microsoft’s products are legally protected in the international marketplace, Mary E. Snapp is committed to social betterment. She is active in many charities and social organizations designed to promote social equality. Diversity issues are especially important to Snapp and she leads the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. In that position, Snapp works to promote diversity in the workplace, which is a Herculean feat in the male-dominated technology sector!
