With so many high-end peripherals for personal computers specialized toward very specific computers, consoles and operating systems, it can be a very financially trying time for even the best manufacturers.  After all, whenever an OS manufacturer upgrades or entirely revamps the operating system they manufacture, the peripheral manufacturer must alter the programming and sometimes even the design of the computer hardware they manufacture.  Movea, the manufacturer of the Air Mouse, knows all about the challenges of staying current in an industry where the technology their products interface with is constantly changing.  That is why Movea hired Anne Gabrot.

Anne Gabrot is the Chief Financial Officer of Movea, a position she was hired to in late-July of 2011.  Gabrot had a wealth of international financing experience, which made her an ideal candidate to come onboard Movea’s management team.  Because Movea creates hardware that utilizes motion-capture technology, the company is especially vulnerable to changes in the hardware and software with which it interacts.  Movea requires significant capital to operate during the periods when changes to other technologies affect the functionality of Movea’s products.  As Chief Financial Officer, Anne Gabrot is responsible for shoring up the revenue streams and managing the finances of Movea through the potentially lean times of adjustment for the company.

Moving to Movea was a lateral move for Anne Gabrot, who served as CFO of Volubill immediately before joining Movea.  Gabrot’s work at Volubill was a key selling point for her abilities.  At Volubill, Gabrot arranged the financing that transformed the startup into a multinational corporation.  Gabrot specializes in international finance, which allowed her to woo investors from around the world to the small company that had only seven employees when she began as CFO!

Anne Gabrot began her career in the business end of the tech sector after attending the Essec Business School in Paris.  There, Gabrot earned her MBA in finance and law.  After working for the Benneton Group for six years establishing the brand for sporting goods in France, Gabrot applied her business savvy to the tech sector.  Anne Gabrot served as the finance director of a joint business venture between Hewlett-Packard and Ericsson.  That experience connected her with the tech sector executives that made Volubill believe she was the right person to help their company grow.

Many executives, especially in finance, work their way up to significant role in a powerful company.  Anne Gabrot’s accomplishments at getting small companies financed and traditionally unstable business ventures a solid economic backing helped her leapfrog to the top of Movea’s business division!
