Given how vast the tech sector is, it is very easy for workers at all levels to find themselves suddenly working in an area in which their expertise is limited.  Keeping up with the tech sector can require quite a bit of continual training and often workers who are focused on their work-related tasks do not have the time to learn about the very latest practices or developments in the tech sectors.  That is why many companies utilize professional trainers who both update workers on current events and instruct workers on how to utilize programs with which they have limited prior experience.  One of the best trainers in the business is Jennifer Page!

Jennifer Page is a training consultant for Halogen Software, a software company that focuses on creating and implementing training programs.  While Page is stationed at Halogen Software’s Ottawa headquarters, she often travels for the company as many of Halogen’s clients request person-to-person training.  Jennifer Page has an extensive background involving public speaking that makes her an ideal consultant for educating individuals and large groups of people.

A 2001 graduate of the University of Waterloo, Jennifer Page earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics.  While her math degree certainly prepared her for positions in the financial and technical fields, Page distinguished herself with her extracurricular activities which involved public speaking and art.  It did not take long for employers to discover that Jennifer Page was an articulate, creative, individual whose talents might be better applied outside the realm of numbers, facts, and figures.

While still at the University of Waterloo, Jennifer Page worked at Manulife Financial, learning the ins and outs of the business world as a Business and Technical Analyst for the Group Benefits Project Management Office.  Page’s supervisors were so impressed that they promoted her to a Technical Analyst/Developer for the Group Benefits Business Services Division.  When she graduated college, Page stayed with Manulife Financial as a Business Analyst for the U.S. Actuarial Division.

Jennifer Page began to use her communications skills even more extensively while at RBC Capital Markets, working as a Data Analyst in global credits and information technologies.  It was in this period that she went to the Global TESOL Institute in Toronto to earn her Advanced Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages Certificate.  She utilized that knowledge for the next four years, teaching English in Japan and Togo, Africa.

Since 2007, Jennifer Page has been utilizing her extensive lingual and communications skills to train over 250 human resources teams through Halogen Software and she shows no signs of slowing down!
