Selling The World On Voice Services, Rob Guastucci Is A New Asset For ShoutPoint!

The telecommunications industry, like most of the tech sector, continues to change much more rapidly than most people within the industry expected ten or twenty years ago.  As a result, many of the cutting-edge companies within the telecommunications industry utilize a wide array of computer-based products and services, like voice recognition software and Cloud-based storage.  Those are some of the many tools utilized by the voice message and Short Message Service, ShoutPoint.  To continue to keep the company growing, ShoutPoint needed an expert sales manager and that is why they hired Rob Guastucci!

Rob Guastucci is the Director of Sales for ShoutPoint.  Guastucci has only held the role since May of this year, when he was wooed away from a Sales Manager position at LumenVox.  At ShoutPoint, Rob Guastucci is now responsible for increasing the number of wholesale accounts ShoutPoint has with corporate clients around the world, while maintaining the relationships the company already has.  Guastucci has a great track record in this regard, which is why he was such a valuable addition to the ShoutPoint staff.

Like many in the tech sector, Rob Guastucci’s story is one of success based on experience, not a lot of formal training.  Guastucci attended the California State University at Chico where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Administration.  Almost immediately, Rob Guastucci began to apply that knowledge to the telecommunications industry.  Guastucci joined the tech sector through MCI, where he started out as a Senior Account Executive.

After five years with MCI, Rob Guastucci spent two years as a Regional Sales Manager for Tellabs.  In 1998, Guastucci went to work for the software company, Narus, and there he not only boosted sales, but he became interested in the growing connection between software and telecommunications.  While still working as a Sales Director for Narus, Rob Guastucci took on the role of General Manager for the Western United States at MobileStar.  He stayed with the mobile broadband company until it was purchased by T-Mobile in 2001.

Following a two-year position as the Vice President of Carrier Sales for Caly Networks, Rob Guastucci made the move to Panterra Networks in San Francisco.  As the Vice President of Business Development & Sales, Guastucci was responsible for building up the sales team and managing the entire sales department.  In addition, he was responsible for dealing with all of the company’s largest accounts.  Proving his ability to manage growing businesses made Rob Guastucci an executive that Interactive Intelligence was eager to hire.  As Channel Sales Manager for Interactive Intelligence, Rob Guastucci spent almost two and a half years selling software to resellers throughout the Western United States.  After working for such a large company as Interactive Intelligence, Guastucci was eager to take on the challenges that smaller businesses like LumenVox and ShoutPoint offered.

With his vast experience in the telecommunications industry and his success with sales, Rob Guastucci is in a great position to help ShoutPoint grow!
