Selling The U.S. And Latin America On Cirago, Dean Basilio Succeeds!
Competing against the major companies in the tech sector usually means that smaller businesses must make specialized positions for their emerging markets. Lacking a global network, smaller businesses devote personnel to making connections with retailers, consumers, and distributors in their new marketplaces. For Cirago, the manufacturer of cables, cords, storage devices, and accessories for products that other companies make, growth means building their customer base in the United States and becoming a dominant force in the Latin American market. To achieve the goals Cirago has for those markets, they have Dean Basilio!
Dean Basilio is the Vice President of International Sales for Latin America and the United States for Cirago International. Hired in 2006 for that executive position, Basilio has been steadily building the market share for Cirago’s products. As mobile computing devices have increased in popularity and affordability throughout Latin America, Basilio has adeptly synergized Cirago’s product releases throughout the U.S. and Latin America with the release of major new devices by the giants of the mobile computing market. In addition to running the Latin American marketing campaigns for Cirago, Dean Basilio has become the public face of Cirago at all events south of the U.S. border. Basilio’s success is evident all throughout his territory, but nowhere more than Chile, where Basilio’s efforts have resulted in Cirago products being sold through every major retailer and distributor in Chile.
That Dean Basilio has proven so adept at winning over the Latin American market for Cirago is unsurprising. Immediately before taking the Vice President position at Cirago, Basilio had a similar role at Optodisc Corporation. For just over three years, Dean Basilio made connections in Latin America as the Director of Sales & Marketing, OEM and Distribution for Latin America and the United States for Optodisc Corporation. Prior to that, Basilio helped the start-up MPC Technology as their Vice President of Sales and Operations. At that time, MPC Technology was working to establish itself in Canada, the United States and Latin America and Basilio helped the company get a market presence.
Dean Basilio attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Basilio enjoys an active lifestyle: playing many sports, weight training, and body boarding being among his favorite pastimes. He loves dogs and travel, which makes his frequent trips to Latin America more enjoyable than a hassle. Though he is known for his fun-loving nature, Dean Basilio earned a Top Honors certificate from the Air Force as an Air Cargo Specialist!
With Cirago illustrating continued growth, Dean Basilio continues to illustrate that he is the right man, in the right position for the company, as he serves Cirago as Vice President of International Sales in the U.S. and Latin America.
