Moonhie Chin is well suited to the position of Senior Vice President. After earning her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, Chin graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Master’s of Science in Manufacturing. She applied that wealth of knowledge to General Electric, where she worked for eight years. It did not take long for Moonhie Chin to join the management team at Autodesk; her first management position at Autodesk began in 1999 when the Board promoted her to Vice President of Business Administration. Chin excelled at that, and several other positions at Autodesk, before she was promoted to her current position in 2007.
Recently, Moonhie Chin spearheaded an effort to simplify the corporate structure of Autodesk, which has helped the company to run more efficiently. As well, Chin has been working to transform the Autodesk software to make it Cloud-compatible, as she has seen the potential for Autodesk products in the Cloud-computing framework. Through these efforts and her keen analysis of market trends, Moonhie Chin is keeping Autodesk at the forefront of the computer animation industry!
