The challenge many advertisers and brands continue to have is connecting with customers, especially new customers, utilizing the Internet.  Many Internet-savvy potential customers already use ad blocking software or, because of the prevalence of ads around the Internet, mentally block out all but the most inspired Internet ads.  With social networking, the challenge of connecting advertisers and potential clients is still one that experts in the industry are figuring out.  Trying to crack the formula to utilize the power of social networking for business purposes is what Josh Emert is involved with now and with GoChime, he may be on the right track!

Josh Emert is the Co-Founder and Chief of Product for GoChime, a start-up that has devised a new way to connect people in need of a product or service with the brand that can meet their need.  Designed for social media, GoChime has a reward system that will reward you for referring businesses through GoChime when someone on your social network indicates a need for anything!  Emert operates out of the New York City branch of GoChime (it is a bi-coastal operation at this point with another headquarters in Seattle) and he is deep at work with getting more advertisers and brands associated with GoChime.

A graduate of New York University in 2008, Josh Emert began his professional career with the medical supply company Medtronic Spinal.  As an Associate Sales Representative for the Knoxville-based Medtronic Spinal and Biologics at First Choice Medical, Emert became intimately familiar with both sales techniques and the challenges of connecting companies to their target market.  It was while working for Medtronic Spinal and Biologics that Josh Emert first realized that many untapped markets were utilizing the Internet and emerging social networks ineffectively to try to find the items for which they were looking.

Seeing that need, Josh Emert founded Emergent Design Group while he was still working for Medtronic.  Emergent Design Group focused on creating Internet and mobile computing-based sales channels for the medical device industry.  Having made a link between manufacturers and the market that made it easier for medical professionals to connect to suppliers, Josh Emert looked past the medical device industry.  While Emert still runs Emergent Design Group, he has since devoted his attention to his new start-up, GoChime, which expands on the principles he created at Emergent Design Group.  With GoChime, the product connection solutions Emert developed are being applied to virtually every product type, not just medical supplies.

Given how successful Emergent Design Group has been, Josh Emert is likely to change the way users interact with advertisers on the Internet with GoChime!
