Helping To Design GoldRun, Tiffany Grace Ng Blends Virtual And Real Worlds!
Good ideas are only executed as viable business endeavors when the founder of a start-up assembles a team that can make that vision become a reality. Recently, Vivian Rosenthal won a Next Generation Award for being one of the top five female leaders in the tech industry as honored by L’Oreal. Rosenthal won her award for founding and managing GoldRun, a website that allows users to place images of real world people and objects into a digital setting based on GPS technology. The ambitious project has allowed users and advertisers to interact in exciting new ways. Rosenthal’s vision created GoldRun, but people like Tiffany Grace Ng built and maintain it!
Tiffany Grace Ng is the Senior Designer and Producer at GoldRun, a role she has held since September of 2010. In her position as Senior Designer and Producer, Tiffany Grace Ng has aided in managing the website and she produced the reward sequences for the GoldRun app. Her proficiency in Javascript and WordPress continually make her an asset at both coding and design. Tiffany Grace Ng also has some management responsibilities as the Senior Designer; she oversees both the interns and the junior designers to keep GoldRun looking and operating in a manner that meets Vivian Rosenthal’s vision and expectations.
After graduating from the International School of Beijing, where she was a costume designer for the school’s theatrical productions, Tiffany Grace Ng went to the Parsons School Of Design in New York City. For her thesis project, she explored Attention Deficit Disorder and raised the question of whether or not the affliction is a legitimate psychological disorder. Tiffany Grace Ng graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Communication Design.
While studying at the Parsons School Of Design, Tiffany Grace Ng availed herself of the opportunities New York City afforded her and she participated in multiple internships! Over the summer months in 2007, Tiffany Grace Ng was a design intern at Asentio Design. There, she researched and developed design materials that were actually printed and used in catalogues and presentations. Tiffany Grace Ng had an even longer internship in 2009, when she worked at the Cobalt Design Group producing graphics and printed works for unique events. The internship at Cobalt Design Group aided Ng in her work as a freelance designer for Double Happiness Creations. In addition to giving her more experience with graphics and printing, Tiffany Grace Ng used her time with Double Happiness Creations to become more computer proficient; she proposed a radical re-design of the company’s website.
Hired right out of college at GoldRun, Tiffany Grace Ng works at an exciting intersection of design and technology and is a vital part of the team that keeps GoldRun growing!
