As FremantleMedia Makes Moves On The Internet, Mary Jones Is Selling The World On Online Programming!
As streaming videos from the Internet becomes an increasingly legitimate entertainment channel, major companies in the entertainment industry are working to find their niche there. Some of the most powerful production companies are rapidly expanding their Online division in order to use the Internet as an effective medium. FremantleMedia is one such company that is devoting considerable resources to producing material for the Internet, including programming tailored to the mobile computing market. All of their efforts, however, would be for naught if it were not for Mary Jones.
Mary Jones is the Interim Senior Public Relations Manager for FremantleMedia. Since assuming the role in September 2011, Jones has worked to raise the prominence and online presence of FremantleMedia’s online programming. With the launch of shows on YouTube and synergizing television programming with online content has given Mary Jones a great deal to promote. Jones helped to promote the new interactivity on American Idol; in its last season, FremantleMedia enabled voting on contestants via Facebook!
That Mary Jones has found so much success with FremantleMedia is hardly a surprise given how driven she is. Even so, it is impressive how much she has accomplished in a short time. Jones attended Bournemouth University and while she was there, she was actively employed, learning a great deal about the communications industry and the way it was interfacing with the tech sector. One of her first jobs was working for the nonprofit Pact, as a Communications Assistant. In that role, she learned a great deal about international communications and corporate interactions. After a year, she left the position to focus on her schoolwork.
Armed with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Public Relations, Mary Jones entered the workforce again in 2006. Following graduation, she went to work as an Account Executive at One, a position she held for ten months. She made a lateral move to Franklin Rae Communications. At Franklin Rae Communications, Jones found a way to apply her knowledge of public relations to the communications industry. Even so, she left for Taylor Herring where she assumed the role of Corporate Communications Executive. Mary Jones excelled in that role to such a degree that Franklin Rae Communications hired her back after only eleven months, this time as an Account Director!
Mary Jones’s knowledge of corporate communications and the Internet helped her to develop creative advertising campaigns for corporate clients at Franklin Rae Communications. Her abilities also brought her to the attention of FremantleMedia Enterprises. Only five years after getting her degree, Mary Jones is now pioneering Internet-based entertainment programming!
