Selling More Efficient Mice To The World, Bryan Hoadley Is A Cool Executive!
While the computer mouse is a pretty indispensible peripheral for computer users, with so many different types of computer mice on the market, it is hard for many companies to market a sophisticated computer mouse. As the price of the basic computer mouse and even the basic optical mouse with scrollwheel has dropped, the higher end computer mouse companies have had to work much harder to sell users on their more expensive computer mice. When Movea acquired Gyration, the maker of the Air Mouse line of premium computer mice, it seemed like continuing the Air Mouse line might be unprofitable. But Bryan Hoadley has seamlessly integrated Gyration into the Movea family.
Bryan Hoadley is the President of Movea, Inc. In a move uncommon for a technology company, Hoadley serves as both President and the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Movea. The synergy of the two positions is beneficial for Movea, though. As marketing the motion-detection technology Movea creates is one of the businesses big challenges, having Hoadley fill both the marketing role and the executive position makes a great deal of sense. When Hoadley has a good idea on how to promote the unique products Movea creates, he does not have to clear it with anyone else in the company!
Giving Bryan Hoadley that level of authority and freedom makes a lot of sense when one considers his professional experience that lead him to Movea. In 1989, Hoadley graduated from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aeronautical Engineering. Bryan Hoadley applied that degree as an engineer for Lockheed’s Missiles and Space division, where he created a laboratory for analyzing the Titan IV booster rocket program as well as re-entry stresses on vehicles returning to Earth! In February of 1992, Hoadley joined the start-up Micro Component Technology where he was bitten with the business bug! Making the leap from engineering to business as an account manager, Hoadley took Micro Component Technology from a company with no revenue stream to six million dollars in accounts in less than a year!
Following his successes at Micro Component Technology, Hoadley beefed up his business credentials by going to work in the accounting and sales departments of Credence. After he went back to school for his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Bryan Hoadley was promoted to the position of Senior Director and General Manager of North American Field Operations for Credence. Immediately before Movea hired him, Hoadley served Credence as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations. That level of experience made him an ideal candidate for the complex roles he would assume at Movea.
For the past four years, Bryan Hoadley has managed Movea, seeing the company through the acquisition of Gyration. As Hoadley finds new ways to market the Air Mouse and other products to consumers, Movea continues to grow. Putting their faith in Bryan Hoadley has helped make Movea more profitable and his efforts will, no doubt, continue to help the company to grow for the foreseeable future!
