Gregory Dell’Era Formed Weezic to Help Musicians Practice

People have used technology and the web to change how humans interact with many different forms of media.  EBooks are changing how people read prose, video streaming services have changed how people watch television, and blogging has changed how people consume news.  Now, a cool person in technology wants to change the way musicians read sheet music as well.  Gregory Dell’Era founded his startup Weezic to give musicians access to interactive sheet music that actually helps people practice rather than simply giving them a metaphorical road map.

Weezic makes what Dell’Era and his team refer to as “augmented sheet music”.  This interactive sheet music gives several advantages to musicians practicing specific pieces or exercises. Dell’Era makes this augmented sheet music available through the Weezic website to anyone who makes an account.  Those who experience connection issues while trying to sign up for Weezic may want to look into network service for help.

Dell’Era’s augmented sheet music makes life easier for musicians in numerous ways.  Weezic provides musical accompaniment when someone is using the interactive sheet music to practice.  When a user selects the instrument they are practicing with, the program plays back the most appropriate accompaniment available.  This feature helps musicians who usually perform as part of a larger group such as a band or orchestra.  Dell’Era’s product also recognizes the accuracy of a user’s performance while he or she practices.  Weezic analyzes musicians as they play and shows them where they are having issues and making mistakes.  In order to use this feature, users will need a working microphone on their computer.  If someone’s microphone is broken, that person will need PC repair before taking full advantage of Dell’Era’s product.

Dell’Era does not have a professional background in music, but does have a long successful career in business.  This cool person worked as a consultant at Accenture for several years where he helped several project management teams.  Dell’Era also spent time consulting with Bain and Company where he assisted with corporate strategy.  Clearly, Dell’Era has a strong mind for business even if he doesn’t have a professional background in Weezic’s particular niche.  This cool person’s business chops will hopefully drive him and his startup to great success as he pushes forward.
