Battery life is always a key issue whenever reviews for a new model of cell phone come out on the web.  Smartphones become more demanding and power intensive as time passes, and while battery technology continues to improve, many of us still find ourselves charging our phones once or twice a day just to keep them running.  Cool person in technology Tibor Fabian founded Ardica to tackle this problem and find new ways to improve mobile battery life with his startup Ardica.  Ardica researches, develops and sells new mobile battery technology, and Fabian directs his company away from just improving the standard lithium-based batteries that are most common today.  He wants to find innovative solutions that surpass what is expected and put out more power for longer periods of time.  That’s why Fabian and his team develop batteries based on fuel cells and chemical hydride technology rather than using conventional techniques.  Fabian believes this technology will produce more efficient batteries that last longer and have greater overall lifespans.  Mobile device users who have needed smartphone computer repair for battery issues know all too well that current technology can be quite frustrating. 

Fabian has already led Ardica to develop a powerful mobile battery for military use.  Ardica named the model the WFC20.  The company website says that the WFC20 will reduce the weight of soldiers’ carrying loads by 73% since the fuel cell technology allows for a smaller and lighter device.  One can also attribute the weight difference to the added efficiency of Fabian’s batteries, allowing soldiers to carry fewer of them for longer missions.  Fabian and his team are currently developing a version of this technology for consumer mobile devices as well.  The team is hoping to get this technology to the public as soon as possible.  They also claim that their final product will produce a charge that lasts a week on the average smartphone.  If this claim holds up, Fabian’s company may be looking at a very successful future.

Fabian is an electrical engineer with a Ph.D. from the Vienna University of Technology.  He has worked with fuel cell technology on an academic level for six years.  He also holds twelve patents.  Fabian is not a man who would ever need to call someone else for help with tech support or computer repair based on his background and expertise.  This cool person in technology is looking to introduce his work to the world-at-large with Ardica.  If he can continue on his current path, the future could be bright.
