Outbox CTO Jason Seriff Has Built a Digital System to Manage your Snail Mail

Have you ever imagined being able to manage your postal mail as quickly or conveniently as e-mail?  Jason Seriff certainly has imagined it.  In fact, he probably imagined quite a few different ways to accomplish the feat while he was developing snail mail management software as Outbox CTO and cofounder.  Seriff is a cool person in technology who founded Outbox with the hopes of creating a system that made handling postal mail digitally simple for people everywhere.  Along with cofounders Will Davis and Evan Baehr, Seriff set out to make people’s lives easier by erasing the need to handle physical mail that you don’t want to manage.

Outbox is a service that allows you to handle your postal mail via the web, iPhone, or iPad.  Once you sign up for the service, you give the company access to your mail.  Outbox then collects your mail, scans it and stores the files.  Users can then use Seriff’s software to view and manage their snail mail digitally on their computer devices.

Serriff’s Outbox software has a graphical-based interface as opposed to the text-based UI of e-mail.  This allows you to see how your mail looks, including items like invitations and cards, rather than simply read its content.  Seriff has also incorporated the ability to unsubscribe completely from junk mail with one click into his company’s software. Outbox also lets users select specific mail to send hard copies directly to them when they need it.  Seriff and his partners have worked to create a system where users only receive physical mail they want to receive.  Seriff’s iOS and web apps are an essential part of that experience.  For help downloading and using the Outbox app on iOS, find an iPad tech support service.

Seriff has years of experience in developing and designing software.  He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in human computer interaction.  Obviously, this subject material is vital to creating good user interfaces, arguably the most important part of what Seriff does as CTO of Outbox.  He has years of experience in the high tech industry as well, having held positions at both Oracle and NetSpend.

If Outbox is successful, it’s possible that some day we will be calling computer support not just about e-mail, but about postal mail as well.  Jason Seriff is a cool person in technology who is thinking of new ways to handle real world concerns digitally.
