The iGrill – Now You’re Cookin’!
It’s always the right time to throw a steak on the backyard grill. An app from iDevices takes some of the pressure off the grill chef by monitoring your food via your Apple or Android device. The app developed by iDevices may be the perfect solution for your next party or just right for the non-stop schedule you keep.
The iGrill is a wireless meat thermometer that sends an alert when food is ready. The iGrill app has Facebook integration, letting the user upload pictures of whatever’s for dinner! The free app uses a Bluetooth connection that permits monitoring from up to 200 feet away. iDevices markets accessories for the app such as dual temperature probes with the capacity to monitor two different meats at once or the ambient temperature probe for long meat smokes or roasts. The probes work with a smoker, grill or oven. Users decide whether to place the thermometer laying flat, standing up, or hanging.
The iGrill is the first product launch for iDevices, a relatively young creator and launcher of app-enabled products especially for mobile platforms and tablets. iDevices, an Avon, CT- based app development and enablement agency, offers tutorials for pairing the app with your Apple or Android device, but for keeping your device performing optimally, you may need to contact a service provider specializing in smartphone tech support.
According to the company website, this app also has a globe feature that shows real-time pins of people using the iGrill all over the world. Take advantage of unlimited tech support whenever needed for your phone or tablet, no matter where in the world you travel.
With periodic picture uploads of your sizzling creation, when grilling that next steak the only concern may be how to wait until it’s done! The only thing that may make the experience better would be the inclusion of the aroma wafting from your grill!
