Tim Fung Founded Airtasker to Help Businesses with the Little Tasks
Productivity can take a hit when a company’s staff spends a significant amount of time on little tasks that don’t have to do with their primary work. Copies, data entry, taking surveys, going out and buying supplies, and even just cleaning the office space can take precious time away from employee’s important work. This problem caused cool person in technology, Tim Fung, to found a startup dedicated to helping companies take care of these small tasks.
Fung is the CEO of Airtasker, which provides both businesses and individuals with freelance help for the extra tasks that distract people from their primary goals. In theory, Fung’s company supplies a business with workers who will efficiently handle smaller tasks and allow full-time employees the ability to focus on what they need to finish rather than the extra tasks that normally fill up their time.
Businesses could improve productivity for many different departments with help from Fung’s company. For example, a computer repair company could keep their technicians focused on helping clients by using Airtasker to deal with any paper work or data entry for work orders. A busy office rental company could use Airtasker to help keep clients’ office spaces clean to ensure the property’s upkeep. Fung knows these sorts of tasks can chip away at a business and believes his Airtasker system is convenient enough to solve the problem for many companies.
Airtasker is available through the web, but has no mobile component for the time being. Users on the Airtasker website can search for helpers by the type of task they want them to perform. Fung has also made it possible for companies or people to post their own unique tasks if the categories on the website aren’t sufficient. Those users who have trouble navigating the Airtasker should get cloud tech support service to assist them with the problem.
Fung’s background before founding Airtasker in early 2012 involved a lot of experience in building other startups. Fung is a serial entrepreneur who has founded several other companies in the past, including motorsport event management platform Circuit Club, custom clothing startups Joe Button, and co-working space company Tank Stream Labs. Being the acting CEO of Airtasker is Fung’s primary position, but he still spends time working for his previous startups as well. With his entrepreneurial experience, this cool person knows what it is going to take to scale Airtasker and make it a profitable venture as time continues.
