Sunny Tara Helps Healthcare Workers Communicate as docBeat CEO

Communication in any large organization or business can be a hassle when there are hundreds of employees.  In a hospital or other healthcare workplace, things are often even more chaotic due to the constant intake of patients and sudden emergencies that can occur.  Cool person in technology Sunny Tara founded docBeat in order to attack this problem by improving communication in hospitals.  Tara’s product, docBeat, is a mobile platform that facilitates quick and secure communication between workers in a healthcare institution.  Tara lets doctors and other healthcare professionals install docBeat on the smartphones they already own.  This makes integrating docBeat into a workplace easier, although hospitals should still have onsite tech support available to ensure the system works smoothly.

With docBeat on their phones, doctors, nurses, lab technicians and other workers can create profiles that list their position and department.  This feature makes it easier for any newly hired workers to know who is responsible for what within the hospital simply by looking at the docBeat app on their phone.  Users can also set statuses so others know where they are in the hospital at any given time. Anyone who has trouble installing or using the docBeat app should seek mobile IT support for assistance.

Tara has also made sure to include a call forwarding option in the docBeat app.  Users can push any incoming calls on the docBeat system to another number while still keeping that number private from the caller.  This system lets healthcare workers keep their work lives and private lives separate despite using the same smartphone for both.

Tara founded docBeat in 2010 and remains both its CEO and Chairman today.  From 2008 to 2010, Tara served as chief technology officer of Cantor Gaming.  At Cantor, he directed the company’s efforts in both mobile games and digital sports wagering solutions.  While Tara was there, Cantor became the first mobile gaming platform approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission.  Tara also previously worked as technology officer at Harrah’s for several years.  It is unlikely that Tara’s background in gaming businesses informs his current work.  However, it’s easy to imagine that his experience integrating technology solutions into large institutions is helpful in getting docBeat installed in hospitals across the country.
