Reinier Evers Founded to Keep Entrepreneurs Informed About Current Ideas
The culture of entrepreneurship is one that consistently breeds new ideas from startup founders and innovators meeting and exchanging concepts. Cool person Reinier Evers has been part of this culture for a long time, but has recently decided to give back into it by founding Springwise. Springwise is a tech blog/service hybrid that posts three new entrepreneurial concepts or prototypes on the market each day. Springwise does not post about established companies or startups but budding concepts, the sorts of ideas that inspire entrepreneurs rather than simply report on news, trends, or people. Whether it’s a new idea about how to connect people with services like computer repair or a way to use technology to improve bike safety, Springwise will post about them to the entrepreneurial community that it serves. Evers’s hope is that he will promote connections internally in the entrepreneurial community and spark potential innovation.
Evers goes out of his way to make sure the ideas that make it to the Springwise service are both innovative and in their infancy. On the Springwise site, Evers claims to have a group of over 17,000 “spotters” across the world who find budding concepts that have yet to get off the ground. Each spotter reports to the Springwise team who vet each concept and post the appropriate ones to their service. Evers’s dedication to finding inspiring and new ideas to post to Springwise is clear, given the time and effort it takes a company to develop such a widespread international network.
Evers does not intend his website to be a journalistic pursuit. He aims Springwise internally at other entrepreneurs in the community. Evers wants to help propagate a global culture among company founders and entrepreneurs that will lead to inspiration and more innovative ideas. He sees Springwise as a service to others like himself, not as a tech blog that posts about business news and mass-market tech.
Evers’s website has no mobile application, so interested parties who want to check it out will have to use mobile web browsers to view it. Users who have trouble viewing it on their browser of choice will need mobile tech support.
Springwise isn’t the only company that Reinier has founded. He also started trenwatching.com and currently runs both websites simultaneously, making him quite busy. Evers also holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Amsterdam. His combined knowledge of the tech industry and the finance world have led him to much success and likely will continue to do so as Springwise continues to thrive and serve its purpose.
