Marcel Muenster Runs TraveDoc to Get People Healthcare while Out of the Country
Finding healthcare can be a serious pain for those who fall sick when traveling. When away from home, an ill person has no access to his or her usual physician, which can be even more of a problem if someone has a specific medical condition. Worst of all, however, is when people fall ill in foreign countries and can’t even be sure if they are going to find a doctor that speaks their language. Marcel Muenster, cool person in technology and CEO of TraveDoc, wants to get rid of the uncertainty and anxiety that comes with needing medical care while out of the country. That’s why his startup connects people with foreign doctors who speak their language quickly and conveniently.
Muenster’s company collaborates with doctors all over the world to help people book appointments quickly and easily even when they’re in unfamiliar territory. TraveDoc simplifies the process of finding a helpful foreign doctor down to its absolute basics for its users. People input what type of doctor they need, where they are, and what language they need the doctor to speak. TraveDoc then gives users a list of options right away. People can even schedule and book their appointments directly through TraveDoc. This feature is helpful because it prevents any awkwardness from having to book an appointment with an office assistant who doesn’t speak a traveler’s native language. If users experience difficulties or glitches when trying to find doctors on Muenster’s site, they may need to seek a remote computer support service that can help them.
Currently, Muenster has not put a mobile application in place for TraveDoc. However, users can access the main site via their mobile browsers. Smartphone tech support is available for anyone that has trouble using web browsers on their portable devices.
Muenster is a doctor himself as well as a constant traveler according to the TraveDoc website. He has worked as a project manager for the World Health Organization in Latin America. He also spent time working as a healthcare professional in Germany, Switzerland, and South Korea. Clearly, if anyone knows the issues surrounding medical assistance while traveling, it is this cool person in technology. Muenster has also spent time working and researching at both Harvard and Johns Hopkins University. With his vast experience in the medical world, Muenster just might be the man that can make getting healthcare abroad an easy task rather than a complicated situation.
