Making plans and trying to account for and include all of one’s friends is not always a simple task.  Keeping track of one’s own plans is difficult enough in many cases.  Trying to keep track of every friend’s long-term plans as well is pretty much impossible.  Enter cool person in technology Karl Jacob and his new product Hangtime.  Hangtime is a smartphone app that aggregates local events of all types and allows its users to indicate what events they are definitely going to be at and what ones they are potentially interested in attending.  Once a user and all his or her friends are on Hangtime, making plans with other people becomes far simpler.  For example, if a user sees that there is a concert they want to see in their area, that user simply taps to indicate that they are going.  The app notifies any friends also going or interested in the event so that they can contact the user if they want to make plans to attend together.  Anyone who has trouble downloading Jacob’s program from the App Store should contact iPhone tech support for help. 

Notifications are not the only way that Jacob’s app can help people make plans together.  Users can also go to the profiles of specific friends and view what events they are interested in or plan to attend.  If someone wants to go out for a night with a certain friend he or she has not spoken to in a while, that person can view that person’s profile on Hangtime and view what activities that friend already wants to do.  By finding events where there is mutual interest, making plans with friends and acquaintances can be a simpler and easier affair.

Jacob’s platform is not only available on mobile.  He also instituted a web-based version of Hangtime that people can interact with on desktops and laptops.  Anyone who has problems accessing the web version of Hangtime should find a cloud tech support specialist to aid them.

Hangtime is one of many companies that Jacob has founded and acted as CEO of during his long career.  In the past, this cool person created startups such as Keen, Cloudmark, Wallop and Coveroo.  Jacob has also spent time as an angel investor and advisor to young CEOs founding their first startups.  This cool person has brought many new products and companies to the tech industry and there is every reason to think Hangtime will be another success.
