Groovebug is a New Way to Appreciate Music

Entertainment is a focus of evolving technology, and music is a large part of that market. While iTunes and similar services are excellent resources for collecting music from all genres, a few apps available offer a little extra innovation. Groovebug is one of them that its creators say enables users to effortlessly connect with and follow their favorite bands while discovering new music along the way. It works by scanning the user’s music library and creating a personalized music magazine, and it goes beyond single music tracks or albums. It collects not just music but videos, images, news from the Internet, and music from similar artists according to the user’s music taste. Whatever musical genres you prefer, Groovebug creates a personalized music magazine that relates to you.

One example of a personalized magazine is Bluenote, specifically designed for those who love jazz and blues offering a place for you to enjoy solely that type of music. You simply log in to view the main interface displaying featured artists, albums, and playlists in a visually appealing way that is easy to navigate. While you can access the website from any Internet-connected computer or mobile device, it features mobile tech support specifically for iOS devices. From the main screen, you can browse through featured artists and select an album to listen to, at which point you can listen to a brief sample to decide whether you want to purchase it for your collection.

Groovebug is much more than just a music player, with a great deal of extra content such as detailed musician bios detailing a band’s beginning, who they have played with, and more. The News tab even links to old newspaper articles for stories related to the artist and, even beyond that, you can watch a range of videos including live performances. You can do everything while listening to an album in the background and, with the music controls on the bottom-left corner of the display you can play, pause, and skip music no matter what screen you are currently viewing. Given that the app is specific to iOS, you will want to have a reliable computer support provider on hand that can resolve issues with any tech device should a problem prevent you from using it.

One of Groovebug’s interesting features is its discovery service, which relies on genre collections created by the app’s staff. It decides which collections you should see based on how similar they are to the music on your mobile device, which is not especially unique. What is unique is that it will include a collection of bands from music festivals, concerts, and other events and even includes event schedules as well as a way to buy tickets. With Groovebug, you can learn more about artists you like, listen to all the music you enjoy as well as checking out videos, and likely find some new music you like along the way while you enjoy.
