Frontback Helps Others See the World through Your Eyes
“A picture is worth a thousand words”, as the saying goes. People have been using art, photos, and other visual mediums to convey emotion all throughout history. A popular app, called Frontback, adds another method to do just that. The app uses both cameras on a smartphone to capture a user’s expression in addition to whatever that user is seeing any given moment. The app then shows each picture side by side and lets you post the new image so that other users can see your reactions to whatever you are looking at.
The app has tech support for both iPhone and Android, and is available to users of both platforms. Frontback’s focus is to allow users to share deeply personal experiences by showing the world what they see and how they see it. This is, of course, the primary way the app is used, but many users also get creative and use the side-by-side comparisons of pictures artistically as well.
Frontback has developed a thriving community since its launch. Previously, the app only allowed one form of feedback on pictures. This was through a simple heart shaped button to “like” a photo, and was set up intentionally to prevent negative feedback and keep the experience positive. However, a major update introduced a new way to respond to someone’s pictures. Frontback users now have the option to comment via Frontback React.
Frontback React lets you respond to another user’s picture in the form of a selfie. The new feature allows you to, as the name would imply, show your reaction to the images you are viewing. While a picture alone can usually convey whatever sentiment you are looking for, you also have the option to add a few words to your photo comment to help get the point across. While this opens up some room for negativity, the Frontback community still has an overall positive atmosphere.
Frontback is one of a nearly limitless number of apps letting you communicate in more and more ways with your smartphone. With so much dependence on mobile technology, it is important for you to contact a smartphone tech support professional whenever your phone has a problem to make sure you can always stay connected. While there isn’t a full replacement for real, live, face-to-face interaction with other people yet, a growing number of apps like Frontback seem to be coming closer to it every day.
