Fobo Holds Fast Local Online Auctions on Mobile Devices
Selling used technology for some extra cash has become far easier in the last two decades. Websites like eBay and Craigslist have made selling used items online a viable option for many people. However, these websites do still have their inconveniences. With eBay’s auction-style selling, users are responsible for shipping the items they sell, which can be a major hassle. Many people sell and buy items locally on Craigslist to avoid these problems, but products go unsold on Craigslist regularly and many sellers end up reducing the price of their items due to haggling. Fobo is a cool product in technology that wants to combine the best elements of these two options while eliminating the hassles of both. Fobo is a mobile app that allows people to sell their technological devices online locally in flash auctions. Fobo does not require users to ship items, as it only allows local users to bid during auctions. Once someone wins an auction, he or she can contact the seller and work out a time to pick up the purchase directly. Since Fobo uses an eBay-like auction style for sales one the app, it avoids the potential haggling issues many sellers experience when selling through Craigslist. Anyone who has trouble setting up an auction on the app should find a computer support provider for assistance.
For each flash auction on Fobo, which last 97 minutes, users set up elaborate postings to provide buyers with all the details about the device they are selling. Pictures, detailed descriptions and starting prices are clearly viewable for every auction on the app. Once a buyer purchases an item, they have 48 hours to pick it up before a seller can put it up for auction again. Users can sell any type of electronic gadget on Fobo, including computers, phones, tablets, gaming devices and accessories.
Fobo is currently available for download on the Apple App Store. If a user cannot download and install the app to their iPhone or iPad for some reason, they should find an Apple tech support company who can help them. This cool product is currently only available locally in San Francisco, but the company is currently working towards expanding to many other markets in the United States.
