BusyEvent Aims Its “App That Builds Apps” at Event Organizers
A slew of startups have popped up over the past few years that offer technology-based solutions for large events and professional conferences. BusyEvent, one such startup based out of St. Louis, is trying to set itself apart with a cool product that leverages mobile technology for event organizers. While many other companies design individual apps for events, costing an event’s host significant amounts of time and money, BusyEvent offers a way for event organizers to create their own mobile apps. BusyEvent produces, in their own words, an “app that builds apps” for event organizers and marketers. BusyEvent claims that their mobile application allows their customers to create event-specific apps “in five minutes”. Organizers can then personalize their event’s app with different styles, themes, layouts and of course, content. Users can view and edit the apps they make with BusyEvent through the web, on Android or on iPhone. Anyone who needs help navigating or working through BusyEvent’s features can get help from a mobile tech support provider.
BusyEvent knows that not all event organizers will immediately be comfortable designing their own applications for their events. Therefore, the company offers an optional service for customers where a professional from the BusyEvent staff will personally advise them on the creation of their first app. This option gives customers a way to get personalized advice from experts. This works much the same way remote tech support customers get service from premium computer repair companies.
BusyEvent also offers users the option to incorporate several gamification features into their app. Users can implement game concepts into their event app such as awarding achievements or badges for certain behaviors while attending an event. However, organizers and Marketers can be more creative than that if motivated. BusyEvent’s apps can even support something as complicated as a scavenger hunt where winners get some sort of promotional offer or prize.
BusyEvent also incorporates the use of a dashboard that gives its customers access to many different data points related to their event. BusyEvent can report information about attendees and their different behaviors. This can provide further insight about how useful an event or conference is towards generating new leads and networking connections. It can also offer event organizers information to determine what ideas were more or less successful. Customers can then use that data to shape future events.
