Payal Kadakia Makes Finding Nearby Classes Easy as Classtivity CEO
Many of us have hobbies and passions, but we often don’t have time to find avenues to pursue those activities. Payal Kadakia is a cool person in technology who is trying to make it easy for everyone to find ways to pursue their interests. Kadakia is the CEO of online company Classtivity. Classtivity is an online marketplace that attempts to make locating and enrolling in classes quick and easy. The site stores information on classes for any number of subjects or hobbies — art, dance, fitness, acting and more. It puts all of the classes into a single database and gives users the information about when they will be, where they will be and how much they cost. This way, finding a way to pursue an interest or hobby requires much less effort, especially as users can sign up for classes directly on the site. Kadakia launched the company in early 2011 and has grown it to the point where over 30,000 classes in seven different metropolitan areas are in the company’s database. If you want to search through Classtivity but find yourself encountering difficulties, finding computer tech support could be a major help.
Kadakia has gone on record saying that she created Classtivity because she felt people needed an easier way to explore hobbies. It was her belief that searching multiple websites and making multiple phone calls in an ongoing search for the right class led to many people abandoning the pursuit. Her idea was to make Classtivity easy enough that that wouldn’t happen.
Kadakia’s background isn’t simply in business, as she has succeeded in another passion of hers as well — dance. While studying at MIT, Kadakia successfully formed an Indian Fusion Dance Troupe and then continued her passion when she moved to New York City, where she founded the Sa Dance Company in 2009. The dance company received positive reviews for their performances in the New York Times and sold out many venues. Kadakia has also worked as a consultant for Bain and Company as well as in business development at Warner Music. With such a diverse and accomplished past, it’s no wonder how this cool person in tech business has managed to turn Classtivity into a success as well.
Classtivity does not yet have a mobile app. Therefore, if you want to use it on your smartphone, you will have to access it through the browser. If you have difficulty with this process, contact the appropriate smartphone tech support.
