While the rise of the eBook market has made self-publishing a viable concept for new writers, the process of getting your eBook onto online retail stores can still be complicated and difficult.  However, a new company called Tablo is looking to change this aspect of the self-publishing process.  Tablo is a cloud-based company that offers authors tools to not only help format their novels and short stories, but also easily publish them to online retail stores with a click.  This attempt to disrupt the eBook industry could potentially save many writers hours of time and stress if it delivers on its promise of an easier solution.  Authors want to spend more time honing their craft and less time navigating the complicated route to getting their work online.  Tablo is a cool product that’s in a position to capitalize on this market.Many online eBook marketplaces have specific requirements that force authors to jump through hoops when formatting their books.  This makes self-publishing more difficult and potentially more expensive if they have to hire a professional formatter.  The team at Tablo is betting on the idea that authors want a simpler solution.  That’s why they have created the Bookmaker software to help with the formatting and writing process.  Bookmaker gives authors multiple templates to choose from and allows them to write their work directly in the software or copy and paste from another document.  In theory, this could turn several hours of work into just minutes, a solution that many writers would appreciate.  No author wants to have to call tech support because they’re struggling to format their eBook with technology across multiple platforms.

Beyond its Bookmaker software, Tablo also offers writers the Author’s Centre as part of its product package.  The Author’s Centre is a headquarters of sorts that lets writers keep track of the books they’ve published through Tablo.  Tablo even keeps track of your sales and royalty amounts for you and makes them easily accessible through the Author’s Centre, giving authors the tools to know how their book is performing in the market.  Tablo even keeps track of the date an author will receive their next royalty payment.  With their writing and sales tracking platforms, Tablo is a cool product that aims to make self-publishing a much simpler affair.
